There are a lot of people complaining about iamamiwhoami’s In Due Order.
I have heard people say that they are experiencing an “an exhaustion of ideas and fumbling for mystery.” I have heard that they don’ think they like they message and therefore the song. I have heard people say a lot of things. But I need everyone to realize this: This video was not just one that they threw together because they decided it was time to release a video. They have been methodically releasing videos, which would have taken a lot of planning. They deliberately made this video how it is. Perhaps you should think about how they chose specifically to make this video look very simple. It’s like they are understating the truth. They are hiding their secrets in a place we couldn’t even possibly think they would be hidden. Listen to the lyrics. “We don’t ask for anything/Your lives could have been unaffected.” Sounds like they are warning that our lives could be full of simple videos without them and now we are asking so much of them. And also realize this; we do not have the full story yet, so even if you have theories about what is happening, they are going to change. We still don’t know for certain everything that bounty means.
